This was an interesting year for me creatively, but most of what I worked on won’t come out until next year or later. I wrote in some new-to-me formats (I will have more to say on that next year), and worked very hard on two novels.
I also had two new publications, both of them short stories:
- In a Hansom Cab at the Liberty Street Ferry Terminal in the New Decameron Project, May 2020, 3,000 words. Etiquette magic and yearning in 19th century New York.
- Remember Madame Hercules in On Spec, issue 113, April 2020, 4,600 words. Middle-aged female journalists in Montreal during the Second World War are secretly superheroes.
Onward to 2021!
