what I published in 2020

This was an interesting year for me creatively, but most of what I worked on won’t come out until next year or later. I wrote in some new-to-me formats (I will have more to say on that next year), and worked very hard on two novels.

I also had two new publications, both of them short stories:

  • In a Hansom Cab at the Liberty Street Ferry Terminal in the New Decameron Project, May 2020, 3,000 words. Etiquette magic and yearning in 19th century New York.
  • Remember Madame Hercules in On Spec, issue 113, April 2020, 4,600 words. Middle-aged female journalists in Montreal during the Second World War are secretly superheroes.

Onward to 2021!
