Some stories to read

My story “Word for Word” is posted now at Waylines Magazine. I was thinking about Pandora’s box, and what we might put into a box of forgetting, if we could, and what might get stuck in the bottom. Also: typewriters.

Waylines has also posted an interview with me. There’s more to the interview, which you can read if you download the digital edition. And please check out the rest of the issue. Waylines is great, and I’m grateful to the editors for working with me on a very involved edit.

Plus the illustration by Darryl Knickrehm is fantastic. I don’t think there’s any thrill for a writer quite like seeing a piece of art inspired by something she wrote.

I’ve also happened across a couple of stories by other writers over the past few days I enjoyed immensely, so I thought I’d share them here in case anyone’s looking for something to read: Grief in the Strange Loop by Rhonda Eikamp at Daily Science Fiction, and Centipede Heartbeat by Caspian Gray at Nightmare.
